Helen V. Sciberras, 91, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, in Excela Health-Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born April 14, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of Croci Sciberras and Nancy (Camilleri) Sciberras. Helen was a member of St. Anne Home since 2008, and attended Mass there on a regular basis. She served as a community minister and helped with various projects and activities. Helen volunteered for anyone that needed help in any way. She enjoyed corresponding with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Sister Concetta H. "Connie" Sciberras, SMR, who passed away April 17, 2020, and Pauline Pardy, who passed away Sept. 15, 2021. Helen is survived by her brother, Father Michael J. Sciberras, of East Vandergrift; sister, Emily (Joseph) Galea, of Boca Raton, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, 303 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, with Father Michael J. Sciberras as celebrant, and Father James Loew, OSB, as con-celebrant. Private interment will be in Greensburg Catholic Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
