Joe was born May 3, 1973, in Pittsburgh, son of Pun Sun "Sunja" Slepak, of West Deer Township, and the late Raymond Slepak. He was a 1991 graduate of Deer Lakes High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in education, 1995, from Slippery Rock University. He was the bar manager for Beach House Bar and Grill, Glen Allen, Va. His patrons called him a "true icon" in the industry, supporting them with uplifting words, friendship and smiles. Joe was known for his compassion, humor, competitiveness and sincerity that drew people to him. He respected others, did no harm and was humble in his accomplishments. Joe enjoyed golfing, spending time with his friends and family and was an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by his beloved mother, Sunja; heartbroken siblings, Susanna Schmitt, of Sacramento, Calif., John (Leslie) Slepak, of Zelienople, and Mark (Becky) Slepak, of Natrona Heights; soulmate, Courtney Talley, of Richmond, Va.; nieces and nephews, Devon Schmitt, Dillon Schmitt, Chase (Katy) Slepak, Jett Slepak, Brandon Welsh and Colton Busch; grand-nieces and nephews, Reagan and Charlie; and his sweet puppy, Bagel Bite.
