Nancy Sherry Obituary
Nancy Louise Sherry, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Marysville, WA, on Aug. 21, 2025. She was 78 years old. Nancy was born on Jan. 9, 1947, in Natrona Heights, to Earl and Helen Skinner. She grew up in Pennsylvania, where she built the values of family, resilience, and compassion that guided her throughout her life. She later moved to Florida, then California, before settling in to live most of her life in Washington State in the Puget Sound area. Nancy did return to the Kittanning area later in life, living there for some time before returning to Washington State. Nancy began her career as a bartender before establishing herself as an insurance agent, a role in which she took great pride and dedicated many years to serving her community. Her deep love for her family defined Nancy's life. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, William Sherry. A loving mother to her son, Richard, and an ever-caring mother-in-law. She was a doting grandmother to Jacob; she cherished her role as grandmother, and her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue through her family for generations to come. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sherry, whom she reunited with later in life after returning to the Kittanning area. Her parents, Earl and Helen Skinner; and her siblings, Mary Ellen, Jimmy, and Earl Jr., all preceded her in death. In addition, her ex-husbands, Lewis Berry Jr. and Richard Scholl, have preceded her in death. Nancy is survived by her grandson, Jacob Berry; her son, Richard Berry, and his wife, Haihong Yu; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. Nancy is remembered for her warmth, steady support, unconditional love, and quiet strength. She offered a listening ear, shared laughter, and was a steady presence in the lives of those she loved. Nancy touched countless hearts, and she will be remembered eternally by those who knew her.
