Raymond Richardson Obituary

Raymond V. Richardson, 78, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, surrounded by family. In addition to his parents, Lloyd Richardson and Margaret Skadberg Richardson, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Will. Surviving are his loving wife, Priscillia Jameson Richardson; his children, Margaret (Mark) Giron, Anne (Mike Vallano) Richardson, and Tom (Art Perez) Richardson; his grandchildren, Brady Giron and Eli Giron; and his siblings Sandy (Curt) Haney, Shari (Steve) Tullberg, Daniel (Jane) Richardson, and John (Kim) Richardson. Ray was born on Sept. 27, 1946, in Moline, IL. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse for his entire career. Ray was known as a problem solver, tackling projects ranging from complex submarine technology to broken Barbie doll arms, often crafting his own tools in the process. Ray loved woodworking and created many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home. He could often be heard whistling while in his workshop. Ray was often outside, taking walks and waterskiing with his family. Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed driving his motorcycles and Corvettes, often taking Priscilla for rides through the countryside. The family acknowledges Home Instead, Brookdale Senior Living of Latrobe, and Bridges Hospice for the excellent care he received. Honoring Ray's wishes, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania, https://pfwpa.org. KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with the arrangements.
