Sandra Tempo Obituary

Sandra L. Tempo, 69, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Greensburg, born March 9, 1956, and a daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth "Betty" (Sochacki) Serembo. Sandy dedicated over 30 years of her career as the director of the Adult Training Facility at the YMCA. She was a passionate advocate for individuals with special needs. After retirement Sandy worked at Saint Vincent Archabbey providing support to Seminarians. She was an active member of the American Legion Post No. 981, Ladies Auxiliary. Sandy was known for her humor, love of laughter, and deep devotion to family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Elaine Serembo. She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, John M. Tempo; two sons, John R. Tempo and wife Jessica, and Anthony R. Tempo and wife Melissa; her granddaughter, Taylor Tempo; her brother, Richard Serembo; her dog, Herkey; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Mary Tompkins, OSB, officiating. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Humane Society, P.O.
