Timothy B. Detman, 59, of Tarentum, passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, following a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1962, in Harrison Township, to the late William C. and Marian (Pracko) Detman. Timothy lived his entire life in Tarentum, where he was a self-employed landscaper and previously worked at Gatto Cycle Shop in Tarentum. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, New Kensington Moose, a life member of 7th Street Sportsmen's Club, New Kensington VFW, Sons of American Legion, Lower Burrell, and the Brackenridge American Legion Post 226. Timothy graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1980, where he played baseball and golf. He enjoyed riding his Harley and drag races and was a Pittsburgh sports fan. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. Survivors include his siblings, Christopher Detman, of East Deer Township, Elaine (Neal) Macurdy, of Buffalo Township, Lydia Detman (Anthony Fuhrman), of Shaler Township, and Cynthia Knoch, of Tarentum. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, PA 15084, where a blessing service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.
