William Cummings Obituary

William 'Billy' Cummings, 79, of Vandergrift, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in QLS West Haven, Apollo, following a brief illness. Born Oct. 29, 1945, in Fairmont, WV, he is the son of the late William and Freda Grow Cummings. Prior to retiring, he had been employed by Millers Landscaping in Plum. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, wrestling, watching the Steelers, and Spider-Man. Bill was a friendly, outgoing person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his siblings, Daisy (Ron) Long of Harrisville, Luke (Sue) Cummings of Apollo, Cheryl (Bob) Willoughby of Fletcher, NC, Kathy Cummings of Fletcher, NC; and his best friend, Eric (Kelly) Ruperto of Penn Hills; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Laura Cummings. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with Pastor Janis Bracken officiating.
