William Lubovinsky Obituary

William P. "Wit," "Zip" Lubovinsky, 82, of Round Top Circle, East Huntingdon Township. He was born June 1, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Barrick Lubovinsky, Sr. Bill was a member of the Visitation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mt. Pleasant. He was a graduate of the former Hurst High School Class of 1961. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bill was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Modulas Corp of Mt. Pleasant from 1967 to 1984. He retired as an assistant manager from the PA Liquor State Store in Mt. Pleasant with 22 years of service. Bill was a member of the Kosciuszko Club, Mt. Pleasant. Bill is gone from our lives but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His daughter, Marcie Jo Keefer, and husband, Larry, of Mt. Pleasant; Michelle Marquis of Scottdale; and his two step-grandsons, Michael and Matthew Marquis. Courtney Cominsky Abraham and husband, Zachary of Fairchance, whom William and Freda raised; his great-granddaughters, Addison and Avery Keefer of Connellsville; step-grandchildren, Madelyn Patula and Avayah Snyder; and good friends, Karen and Barney Barnhart. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Freda L. Beers Lubovinsky; grandson, Shawn Keefer; four brothers, Stanley M. Lubovinsky Jr., Sylvester Lubovinsky, Walter A. Lubovinsky, and Joseph "Zip" Lubovinsky; a sister, Mary, in infancy; and a stepdaughter, Jeannie Marquis Cominsky and her husband, Thomas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025. Interment will be in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery.
