Edith Bower Obituary

Edith L. (Renz) Bower, 97, of Larimer, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in North Huntingdon, a daughter of the late William and Elmina (Himes) Renz. She was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Larimer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Bower; and brother, William Henry Renz. She is survived by her children, Kathryn E. (Raymond) Feret, of Greensburg, loving son, William A. (Laura) Bower, of North Huntingdon, and Arthur R. (Erlinda) Bower, of Georgia; grandchildren, Shelley Maline, Michael (Sharon) Feret, Christine (Steve) Pepe and Sara (Colby) Smith; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Austin Maline.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where everyone will gather at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for a funeral service.
