RONALD TOMPKINS Obituary

RONALD TOMPKINS Ronald Ward Tompkins was born on August 6, 1962 in Troy, Missouri to Earl and Evelyn (Schmidt) Tompkins. He passed away on December 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 62. Ron graduated from Mullinville High School in Mullinville, KS in 1980. Ron loved to work so he spent his free time working as well. Throughout his life he was a farmer, truck driver, and always a handyman. Most recently he was a business owner of JD's Truck Escort Service, a pilot car transport for windmill blades and large loads. He was a reserve deputy, a volunteer firefighter and EMS/EMT. Ron loved to travel and enjoyed cruises, including a memorable 15 day cruise to Hawaii with most of his siblings. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors Include: his sisters, Tracy Weyers of Monroe, IA, and Sandy Koehn and husband Lane of Lenexa, KS, his brothers, Terry Tompkins and wife Ruth of Cheney, KS, Alan Tompkins of Hydro, OK, and Kenneth Tompkins and wife Tami of Ford, KS, 13 nieces and nephews; 27 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great great nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Evelyn Tompkins, his sister, Jacque Doody, his niece, Kathy Tompkins, his nephew, Tanner Weyers and his great nephew, Drake Weyers. Memorial Services: Ford Community Church-Fellowship Hall, Ford, KS on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM 2:00 PM. Selected services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
