William Channell Obituary

William Gerard Channell, born Sept. 9, 1945 in Everett, MA passed on August 25,2025 following a valiant battle with brain cancer. After graduating from Danvers High School in 1963, Bill entered Wentworth Institute, Boston, MA studying civil engineering.

In 1965 Bill joined the Navy serving aboard the aircraft carrier Yorktown in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong member of Post 51, Epping.

After military service, embracing his love of skiing, Bill became a Professional Ski Instructor at Mt. Snow, VT and soon after as a ski school director at Squaw Mtn and Arapahoe East. In the summer months, Bill raced a G Production Sprite at local SCCA tracks.

Channell One Video was is next adventure, creating a production and post production video business. During this time, he created a very popular web site, thevillagecollector.com embracing his love of lit villages and collecting.

Bill's legacy is cherished by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen E. Channell of Epping, NH, his sister Linda Biello, brother-in-law Dominic Biello, nephew Christopher Biello, niece Annmarie Biello all of Belmont, NH He was predeceased by his parents, William E. Channell, WW11 veteran, and Rita M. (Legere) Channell.

A celebration of life will take place at his home, which he called OZ, on Sept. 9 after 11 am burial service at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Cornerstone Hospice, 178 Farmington Rd. Rochester, NH 03867 and/or Epping Fire Dept., Epping, NH 03042.
