Glenna Goff Obituary
GLENNA MAE (WARD) GOFF, 86, of New Castle, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Kelsa, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Ward and Thelma (Ling) Ward Pugh. She was a resident of Buchanan County many years before moving to Newnan, GA, and was a member of Grundy Baptist Church and Cornerstone Church in New Castle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was an owner/operator of Rainbow Restaurant and the Grundy Drive-In.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Son: James Hersel Goff; Brothers: Clarence Lowell Ward, Buren Pugh, Eural Pugh, Bill Pugh, Mickey Pugh, Charles Pugh and Palmer Pugh; Sisters: Rhonda Combs and Linda Childress; Stepfather: Edd Pugh.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Arthur Hersel Goff (recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary); Daughters: Robin Goff (Martin) Hallberg of Coldwater, MS, Cynthia (Craig) Reynolds of New Castle, VA; Daughter-in-Law: Janice Goff of Grundy, VA; Grandchildren: April (Gabe) Armendariz, Jason Goff, Jack (Erika Grammel) Mayer, Kathleen (Peter Sloan) Mayer, Angela (Shane) Estes; Great-Grandchildren: Makayla Wright, Rashawn Wright, Destany Armendariz, Aliyah Armendariz, Mya Armendariz, Eleanore Sloan, Samuel Sloan, Kaleb Estes and Rheaven Estes; Great-Great-Grandchild: Isaiah Wright; Sisters: Judy Coleman, Connie (Larry) Meadows and Kathy (Joe) Ratliff; Brothers; Mancy Pugh and Gary Pugh.
Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services for GLENNA MAE (WARD) GOFF were conducted Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Brown and Pastor Rick Kelley officiating, burial followed in Clinch Valley Cemetery, Richlands, VA.
Active Pallbearers were family and friends.
