Jack L. Demar

Tunbridge, VT - Jack L. Demar commonly known as "Handsome Jack" passed away on the 1st of September 2025- Fitting for a man who worked hard his entire life. Jack was the cherished son of Elizabeth Rivers and Henry Demar. Jack died the way he lived; surrounded by beautiful women and after a revolving door of friends and family from near and far. Jack was a hard worker, but also knew how to have a good time. From spending time with family to drinking captain and cokes with the boys at huntin' camp.

He loved his wife Gracia with his whole heart. 45 years of hanging out together and he still loved to dance with her at every musical occasion.

He is survived by his wife Gracia; two daughters Heather (Mike) Goodale and Kaitlyn (Keith) Newbert; a son Josh Demar; his mother Elizabeth Rivers; his brothers and sisters Beverly, Helen and Jim, Nettie, Tony and Michelle, Emma, Alberta, Penny and Ray, Debbie and Chub, Patty, Carole and John, Jen and Cliff. He was predeceased by his father Henry and his brothers Roy and Paul. Jack is predeceased by too many friends and family to list, but that just goes to show how loved he was and how much he loved back. Jack defined family differently, and if you were his friend, you became his family. His fierce loyalty will continue along with his amazing spirit.

Grandpa Jack loved his grandchildren, Lily, Emmylou, Gracie, Bryce and finally his new grandson, Lewis. His honorary grandchildren Harper & EllieMae were deeply loved as well.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, if you start to pee funny, you go to your DOCTOR!

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2pm at the Red Door Church in South Royalton, VT.
