Thomas Glen Patriquin
Hartland, VT - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Glen Patriquin, affectionately known as "Nature Boy," on June 24, 2025. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, on July 20, 1964, Tommy moved to Wenham, Massachusetts, later that same year, where he grew up surrounded by Alaskan Malamutes, Morgan Horses, and Shetland Ponies. In 1975, he relocated to Hartland, Vermont, where he embraced the beauty of nature and the simple joys of life.
Tommy shared a deep love for animals with his brother, Eddy, and together they raised sheep and pheasants in Hartland. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1982.
Tommy was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He had 22 nieces and nephews. He is survived by his daughter, Natalya Patriquin, and his ex-wife, Lisa Patriquin, who held him as he passed. He is also survived by his two brothers, Kevin and Robert, and his sister, Marcia. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother Edward, his mother Louise Marion James, his father Warren Edward Patriquin, and his grandparents, Wright and Alice Foster, and Earl and Grace Patriquin.
In 2019, Tommy, alongside his older brother Bobby, inherited his childhood home in Hartland, Vermont, following the death of their mother. Tommy spent many weekends and holidays driving from Lindenhurst, NY, to Hartland, where he maintained the property and relished the peaceful Vermont life away from the hustle and bustle of New York.
For over 40 years, Tommy was a remarkable salesman, helping build a successful food business. With a natural ability to connect with people, he was a master at selling anything to anyone and was always eager to share his expertise with others. His warm and genuine presence made him not just a beloved family member but a cherished figure in his professional life as well.
More than just a father, Tommy was a best friend, a steadfast supporter, and a voice of reason. He made everyone feel loved and never alone. His kindness extended beyond his family-he was a loyal son, an adored uncle, a dependable coworker, a proud Marine, and a friend who could always be counted on.
A passionate outdoorsman, Tommy shared his love of nature with those around him. He taught many about fishing, hunting, and shooting, instilling in them a deep respect for nature, safety, and responsibility. He raised dogs with care, teaching the values of loyalty and companionship, and nurtured his family's connection to their horses, showing them the beauty of trust and strength. Tommy had a special enthusiasm for birds, particularly falcons, and was always excited to teach his daughter about every insect, bird, mammal, and fish they encountered. His lessons on nature, animals, and family will live on in those who were fortunate to learn from him.
Tommy leaves behind a lasting legacy of strength, kindness, and an appreciation for the simple, honest life. His dedication to his family and his unwavering love for nature will continue to inspire all who knew him.
As we mourn the loss of Tommy Glen Patriquin, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the profound impact he had on our lives.
A graveside service will be held in Tommy's honor at the Hartland Village Cemetery in Hartland, Vermont, on July 20, 2025, at 1 PM. Condolences may be expressed to Tommy's family in an online guestbook at
