Rodney Ortigo Obituary

Rodney Glen Ortigo, 55, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Elm Mott, Texas.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Logan Assembly of God Church in Carthage, Texas with Pastor Charles Bledsoe officiating.

Rodney was born on March 26, 1968 to Huey P and Georgia Elaine (Baker) Ortigo in Shreveport, LA. He was a graduate of Carthage High School and Tarleton State University with a Master's Degree in Business. While at Tarleton, he met the love of his life, Marjorie Cadenhead, celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. He worked at Texas State Technical College - Waco as a Professor of Computer Science and Computer Programmer for 20 years. Rodney enjoyed singing, playing the piano, supporting his wife with her numerous projects, and most of all spending time together with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Elaine Elliott.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ortigo of Elm Mott, brothers, Randy Ortigo and wife, Diane of Tyler, Ronney Ortigo and wife, Jeanette of Longview, Robert Ortigo and wife, Anne of Logan, brother-in-law, Scottie Elliott of Logan, mother-in-law, Lee Cadenhead of Elm Mott; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and their beloved Applejack.
