Annette Marie Smieja, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Hackensack Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Annette was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Shakopee, to Henry and Glena (Gast) Arnold. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and stamping. Annette especially loved spending time with her family.
Annette is survived by her children, Brenda (Sean) Johnson, Daniel Smieja, Russell (Missy) Smieja and David Smieja; grandchildren Hanna Smieja, Cody (Jessica) Smieja, Zack (Jolene) Smieja, Randy (Courtney) Smieja, Reid (Bekah) Johnson and Ruby Smieja; great-grandchildren RJ Smieja and Noah Smieja; and brother Richard (Rick) Arnold.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Glena Arnold; husband Bernard Smieja; and sister Susan Welter.
A private family service will be held.
