Survivors include cousins, John (Patty) Schaub, David (Denise) Schaub, Rex (Jenny) Schaub, Ray Sidey, Pat Wehner, close friends, Dick McCrate, Diane (Brad) Miller, Godson, Adam (Sandy Sapp) Bryan, their son, Gauge Bryan, Lindsay Bryan, Audra Bryan, Amber Bryan, and numerous great cousins.
She was preceded in death by her close friend Tom Bryan.
Phyllis retired in 1991 from St. Rita's Medical Center, after 38 years in the Radiology Department. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteered at many church functions and attended the Adoration Chapel regularly. She graduated from Blume High School in 1953. She enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling, spending time with and going out to eat with friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Mon. July 21, 2025, at the St. Joesph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, Fr. Ethan Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sun. and 9-10 a.m., Mon. at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Memorials may be directed to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Condolences may be expressed at www.eleyfuneralhomeandcrematory.com.

I started my medical career in Radiology at SRMC. Phyllis was lead secretary and one heck of a good typist. She always had a smile and a great ability to put all of us newbies at ease as we were learning how to become x-ray technologists. She was a lady we could count on at work and after graduation . She had " reunion get togethers"over the years after her retirement which were enjoyed by all. A great and gracious lady !
