Chrisa Labow Obituary

Chrisa Callsen Labow, age 92, passed away on June 9, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1932, In Flensburg, Germany to Alfred Christian Callsen and Emma Christopherson. She completed her early education in Flensburg and in Wyk Auf Fohr, an island in the North Sea in Germany. She earned a nursing degree/certificate in pediatrics in Hamburg, Germany. She worked in Rome, Italy for three years. She came to the US in 1957 and worked as a children's nurse. She married her surviving husband, Joseph, in 1959. She is survived by two sons, Gordon of Ellicott City, MD and Eric of Efland, NC, and brothers Peter in Germany and Heinz in Canada. She enjoyed classical music, opera, sports, traveling, and gardening. In lieu of donations or flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Hospice or your favorite charity. A remembrance of the deceased will be held July 19, 2025 by family and friends.
