Henry Haslinger Obituary

(Age 76)
Died on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Casey House in Rockville, Maryland. Henry was born to Joseph and Henrietta Haslinger on December 2, 1948, the seventh of ten children. He grew up in Greenbelt, MD, graduated from St. Hugh's School, DeMatha Catholic High School, and The University of Maryland, where he majored in business.
Henry worked for many years as a right of way specialist for Prince George's County, and later as a consultant. He volunteered at WAMU radio for 40 years and was active in many local Greenbelt committees. He loved baseball and lacrosse, covering the University of Maryland lacrosse team for WMUC, the college radio station.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Rev Joseph T. Haslinger, Jr. and John Paul Haslinger and his sisters Joan Haslinger Mohan and Mary Haslinger Rogers. He is survived by siblings Henrietta Bradley, Robert (Karen), Nancy (James Johnson), Thomas (Joanne Colt), and Andrea (Gary Solis), sister-in-law Betsy Mewshaw, brother-in-law Greg Rogers, many nieces and nephews, and friend Molly Lester.
Friends may call at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd, Beltsville, MD on Monday, July 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Hugh of Grenoble Catholic Church, Greenbelt, MD on Tuesday, July 15, at 12:30 p.m., followed by an interment at Greenbelt Cemetery.
Donations in Henry's memory may be made to DeMatha Catholic High School or WAMU.
