Madrainne Johnson Obituary

Madrainne F. Johnson, age 84 of Columbia, MD, passed away on Sunday morning, June 15, 2025. An alumnus of Roosevelt high school, D.C. Teachers College, and John's Hopkins University, Madrainne was born on August 21, 1940 in Falls Church, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John L. Forsythe and Lillian E. Forsythe.

Madrainne was a loving sister to four siblings, and cherished wife to Reginald A. Johnson, all of whom she survived. She was a celebrated educator and community member who served her community with compassion and purpose. She was as philanthropic as she was social, and dedicated to her family and friends. She maintained membership in several social clubs, most important Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Red Hat Society, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society Internation.

Madrainne is survived by her son, Keith M. Johnson, her daughter-in-law, Stacy Johnson; grandsons Julian and Kyle Johnson, and her nieces and nephew. Memorial services for Madrainne will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia, Maryland on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11 a.m.
