Gary Brownlow Obituary

Gary Allen Brownlow December 27, 1961 - September 20, 2025 Gary went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2025, while in Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Marvin Brownlow and Francis Sims Brownlow; siblings Dona Kay Conner, Prattville, Alabama; Rickey Marvin Brownlow, Hope Hull, Alabama. He is survived by his children Joshua Allen Brownlow, Ashville, North Carolina; Heather Brownlow, Winter Garden, Florida; Jimmy Lane Brownlow, Prattville, Alabama. Grandchildren Keely Brownlow, Atlanta, Georgia; Faith Wolf, Orlando, Florida. Sisters Vikki Thomas (Mark), Hoover, Alabama; Holley Paz-Brownlow, Panama City Beach, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew, extended family, and many friends. Gary grew up in Prattville, Alabama, and then moved in the early 1980's to the Denver, Colorado area while being employed with Brown & Root, Inc., of Houston, Texas. One of his many employments endeavors were with the Exxon Colony Shale Oil Project in Parachute, Colorado. He loved the Rocky Mountains and spent time hiking, camping and brook trout fishing. Gary was a simple man and led a simple life. He loved to grill, play horseshoes, and watch Alabama football. He cherished his close friends and family. A private memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th at 11:00 am at the Prattville Memorial Chapel. A fellowship lunch will follow at a nearby restaurant.
