Watertown, WI - Glen F. Schuett, 83, of Watertown, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Fr. David Drefcinski officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial, with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #189, will take place at St. Isadore Cemetery in Clyman. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to American Legion Post #189 with designation to the Aero Park Vietnam Memorial Wall or Rainbow Hospice. Glen Francis Schuett was born July 9, 1942, in Watertown, the son of Harold and Elizabeth (née McHugh) Schuett. After attending Watertown High School, Glen enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam as well as being stationed in Georgia and graduating from South East Signal School. On June 12, 1965, he married Elda Nagel at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richwood. They were married for 60 years and were blessed with eight children.
Glen dedicated 37 years to Eaton Corporation, starting in shipping and receiving before transitioning to driving and testing electronic boards. A member of American Legion Post #189, Glen enjoyed deer hunting and fishing for bluegill and perch. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Brewers and Packers and treasured moments with his granddaughter, Allie.
Glen is survived by his wife, Elda; children, Sandra (Michael) Lauersdorf of Hustisford; Ann Schuett of Watertown; Gary Schuett of Watertown; Janet Schuett of Fort Atkinson; Emily (Andrew) Busshardt of Watertown; Kristine Canny of Watertown; and Rita (Tory) Schulz of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Luke Lauersdorf, David (Ally) Lauersdorf, Daniel Lauersdorf, Allie (Nick) Ziegel, Elijah Chivers, and Camden Busshardt; great-grandchildren, Abel Lauersdorf, Auden Lauersdorf, and Briella Ziegel.
He is further survived by siblings, Norbert (Lois) Schuett, Lucille (Donovan) Stratman, Nancy (Robert) Margelofsky, Virginia Justmann, Edward (Linda) Schuett, Stephen Schuett, Sharon (Robert) Uelmen, Howard (Gloria) Schuett, Roger (Lori) Schuett, Martha Achterberg, Helen (Roger) Zubke, James Schuett, Carl (Debbie) Schuett, and Doris Hoeft; siblings-in-law, Robert (Karen) Nagel, Doris Kanzenbach, Harvey (Hazel) Nagel, Anna Schuett, Lorraine (Norbert) Neu, Lucille (Richard) Fredrick, Janice (Kenneth) Watson, Carol (Michael) Hoppenrath, Dianne (Bob) Bercier, Marilyn (Scott) Bergstrom, Dianne Schuett, and Barbara Schuett; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Schuett; siblings, Clifford Schuett, Kenneth Schuett, and baby Neal Schuett; and siblings-in-law, Norma (William) Tunak, Donald Kanzenbach, and Marlin Schuett.
