Sheila Eckert Obituary

Sheila A. Eckert, 74 of Huntington, Indiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Sheila was born on September 13, 1950, in Marion, Indiana, to Louis Eddie and Mary Lou (Carnes) Beard. Sheila graduated from Montpelier High School in 1968 and earned her nursing degree in Arizona. Sheila married Warren Eckert on December 27, 2021. She loved to garden and spend time with her husband and grandchildren. Anywhere Sheila went, she did her best to not collect more puppies. She loved her pups, Bella, Lusie, Abby and Zoie. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Stephen Beard. Loving survivors include her husband, Warren Eckert, son, Jason (Stephanie) Kaylor, brother, Randy Beard, grandchildren, Aiden, Makayla, and Jaiden, stepchildren "Bonus Children", Fonzie (Mackenzie) Wirt and Vincent (Dawn) Eckert, and several step grandchildren. Friends and family may gather for a graveside service on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren, Indiana at 2pm.
