Barton Friebolin Obituary

Barton John Friebolin, 82, of Allentown, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. Born in Slatedale on February 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Marvin Ralph and Rosann D. (Mack) Friebolin. Barton earned his Bachelor's degree from Florida Southern College. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 to 1985, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his distinguished military career, he was awarded two Purple Heart Medals and the Bronze Star. Barton attended Heidelberg Union Church in Slatington and was a Past President of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville. He is survived by children, Gretchen A. Friebolin of Monteagle, TN, Heidi S. Walsh and her husband, Bil, of Jacksonville, FL, and Erik P. Friebolin and his wife, Jennifer, of Plant City, FL; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Andrea J. Friebolin, Curtis M. Friebolin. Service: A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Military honors will conclude the ceremony.
