November 28, 1947 – July 26, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Lynne Hosig, who left this world peacefully on July 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Anna Lynne's family was the light of her life, and her love for them was immeasurable. She was a kind, caring, and strong mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose deep faith and thoughtful heart touched everyone around her.
Anna Lynne lived her life with unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was always there for those she loved, whether it was sending a heartfelt Hallmark card or a thoughtful gift to show how much she cared. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and she had an innate ability to make everyone feel cherished regardless of the role they played in her life.
A passionate sports, theatre, and dance Mom and Gramma, Anna Lynne took great pride in supporting her children and grandchildren through their activities, always cheering from the sidelines and filling their lives with encouragement and joy. Her spirit shined brightly in her role as a grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren-whether enjoying a good cup of coffee as they played, watching game shows, playing board games, going to the movies, or attending sports, theatre and dance productions together.
Anna Lynne had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit. She found immense joy in traveling and giving back to others, whether it was on her mission trips to Africa or her unforgettable adventures to Aruba and London with her childhood friends.
A proud graduate of nursing school, Anna Lynne received her LPN from St. Francis Nursing School. She worked for over 20 years at Hartford Hospital first as an Executive Administrative Assistant for the Department of Neurosurgery and then concluding her career as a Clinical Research Associate. She earned the respect and admiration of all who knew her, always making a difference in the lives of others.
Anna Lynne is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Nicholas Hosig, her parents, sister, brother, and three nephews. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas Hosig (Chalam), Timothy Hosig (Kathlene), and Benjamin Hosig (Enza); her cherished grandchildren, Brandon (26), David (23), Alyssa (18), Olivia (16), Kara (15), Grace (13), Giancarlo (12), and Stella (8); her brothers-in-law, Rodger (Susan) and Brian (Terry); as well as several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends including the remaining members of the Aruba Five.
Anna Lynne's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In her final days, she asked us to love and take care of each other. She reminded us to always be kind and to remember our times together. We will do this for you, Gramma. We promise to uphold your legacy for the rest of our days.
Calling hours will be Tuesday July 29th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and funeral services will follow on Wednesday July 30th at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor, CT 06095.
