Adam Porter Obituary

Adam Douglas Porter, 54, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 4:23 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his home in Quincy, IL. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 23, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO. Adam was born March 12, 1971, in Quincy, IL, to Donald Porter and Kathy Redd Boyer. He was married to Lora Reed Porter on May 30, 2017, in Quincy, IL. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, children, Wyatt and Lauren of Quincy, IL, sisters, Amy (Bill) Masterson of Monroe City, MO, Shelby Boyer of Quincy, IL, mother and father in law, Carolyn (Reed) and Robert Humes, brother in laws, Robert " Bobby" Humes, John (Felicia) Reed, sister in laws, Tammy (Eric) Lummer, Shelly Beahan and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Adam was preceded in death by his stepdad, Chris Boyer, grandparents, David and JoAnn Porter and Dale and Stella Redd, nephew, Kingston Boyer and uncle and aunt, Rich and Sandy Pruett. Adam had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. You could find him at the library reading newspapers and comic books. A devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Adam enjoyed watching the Cardinals' play. He also enjoyed his assortment of baseball cards. Adam was intrigued by documentaries. He listened to the timeless melodies of classic rock and enjoyed his Mountain Dew. He enjoyed BBQ's with family and holiday get-togethers. You could find him relaxing in the sunshine with his shoes off and enjoying walks with his daughter and his two dogs. Adam was someone who was always willing to lend a hand. He was friendly and an all-around good person who always had a positive attitude. He never walked past without asking, "How are you?" or "Anything exciting going on?" Adam touched lives in so many ways, and while he will be deeply missed, his legacy is one of genuine kindness and love. Adam was a member of Madison Park Christian Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Crane, Andy Pruett, Alan Pruett, Randy Redd, Bill Masterson, Caleb Vaughn, Brad Hankins, Dwayne Goerlich and Danny Porter. When I went to school with Adam he was always smiles and always asked me how was u doing patti with a smile on his face and I said good and he walked on . He always was very pleasant . Rip adam . Gone to soon

Adam was such an amazing and loving person always had a smile on his face no matter what he was going through he went out of his way for everyone and didnt let anything tear him down you will most definitely be missed uncle adam until we see eachother again we love you!
