Debra Peacock Obituary

Debra Diane Peacock, 68, passed peacefully, on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Baptist Homes in Shelbina, Missouri. Debra was born on November 8, 1956 in Hannibal, Missouri. The daughter of Robert Gene Kribble and Emma Frances Little. She married early in life at the age of 18 to Scottie Peacock on July 20, 1974 at the Shelbina Baptist Church. Debra was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She valued the time with her family and found joy in simple things like, birdwatching and just taking rides in the van. She would entertain herself for hours with a good book or crocheting handmade blankets for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Scottie Peacock; two of her children, Phoebe Ransom (Chris) and Corey Peacock (Tonya) both of Shelbina Missouri; and her grandchildren: Justin Hercules, Aaron Hercules, Emma Ransom, and Kayne Peacock and Riley Baymiller. She is also survived by her siblings: Shirley Harris (Ray) of Shelbina, Cheryl Murchie of Olathe Kansas, Beth Severson (Lyle) of Macon, and Rob Kribble of Shelbina as well as nieces and nephews. Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gene Kribble and Emma Frances Little; Her son Justin Peacock; a brother Joe Kribble and a sister Pam Pogue. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Greening Eagan Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. Visitation will precede the service starting at 12 pm to 2 pm. Burial will follow after the service at the Shelbina Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
