Leland Wiseman Obituary

Leland Dennis Wiseman, age 78, passed away July 12, 2025 at his home in Shelbyville, MO. Leland was born on January 30, 1947, in Shelbyville, MO the son of John Wesley and Clytie Mae (Daugherty) Wiseman. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Buck on December 2, 1978 in Kansas City, MO. She survives of the home. He is survived by his wife, Patty; three children, Tina Hensley (Mike) of Holt, MO, Mark Wiseman of Shelbyville, MO, and Roxanne Perkins (Jeremy) of Stoutsville, MO; nine grandchildren, Chris Hensley (Kristen), Amber Anderson (Nick), Marcus Wiseman, Carmeron Wiseman, Briar and Jesse Perkins, Silas, Aisa, Maddy, and Byron Wiseman; three great grandchildren, Jayce, Emma, and Addilynn; and one sister, Barbara Green of Shelbyville, Missouri. Leland was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Carl, Donnie, Lawrence, Harold, and David Wiseman; and sister, Joyce Steelman. Leland graduated from North Shelby High School in 1965 and began working for Charles and Leo O'Laughlin at the quarry. He was also a lifelong cattle farmer. Leland enjoyed watching western movies, following St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and collecting unique rocks and bobbleheads. He was a homebody and enjoyed visits with others. He never knew a stranger. Leland loved his family, especially the children. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 10 am-12 pm at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Funeral services will be immediately following the visitation at 12 pm. Burial will be held at Concord Cemetery in Sigsbee, MO following the service.
