Patricia Gorzkowski Obituary

Patricia Lee "Patty" Gorzkowski, age 72, passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer with her husband by her side. Patty was born on November 1, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis and Gloria O'Nell. Capturing the essence of a life that left an indelible mark on the world is a challenge in just a few words. Family was very important to Patty, especially her grandkids. Patty had a wonderful sense of humor, and was very outgoing, she had a large circle of friends. She was a letter carrier for USPS for 38 years. She and Alfred loved to travel to beach destinations, and in particular she loved Savannah. After several years of asking, Patty convinced Alfred to move to Myrtle Beach 25 years ago because of her love of the beach. Patty was a huge Philly sports fan, loving her Phillies and Eagles. She loved gardening both vegetables and flowers, and she had a garden around their pool. She was always crazy about cats, and they have three. Survived by her husband and best friend of 51 years Alfred; son Tim and his finance Marie of South Philly; grandchildren Stella, Eva and Francis James; her three orange tabby cats Jake, Bug and Taco, whom seem lost without her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
