Leona Kissinger Obituary

Leona Laurine Kissinger, age 94, of Albion, died Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Marshall Comfort Care.
Mrs. Kissinger was born on Dec. 30, 1930, in Sheridan Township to Robert L. and Nellie K. (Hartung) Rutz. She was a 1949 graduate of Washington Gardner High School in Albion. Leona had been employed by Homestead Savings and Loan in Albion as a loan officer and teller, she retired in 1992.
On Oct. 29, 1949, she married Roland M. Kissinger in Albion. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2011.
She is survived by children, Marvin and Ileana (Diaz) Kissinger, Olin and Marie (Napolitan) Kissinger, Sheila and Kenny King, Stephen and Gale (Burch) Kissinger and Shanna and Douglas Pollman; 19 grandchildren and numerous great grand and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; a son, Michael Robert Kissinger on Oct. 24, 2024, daughter in law, Annamay (Burch) Kissinger; and a brother, Rolland Rutz.
A memorial service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albion. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. A private committal service will be held for the family in Albion Memory Gardens.
Friends who wish may make memorial contribution to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Little Lambs.
