Patrick Wayne Steich was born on January 19, 1944 to Rockwell "Rocky" and Minnie (Colsen) Streich in Minot, ND. Pat attended Mountrose Country School from 1950 – 1955 and then moved to Maxbass, ND and completing grade school and graduating as the Salutatorian of the High School class. Following high school Pat attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton. ND, completing his course work in industrial drafting and design technology.
He entered the U.S. Navy in 1964 and had the honor of becoming a Seabee as an engineering aide. After two tours in Vietnam and staff duty at COMCBPAC in Hawaii, Pat was Honorably Discharged in 1968.

Pat had many hobbies including, fishing, hunting, camping and going out on long drives where he and Kathy would take in the country side and watch the wildlife. Kathy and Pat enjoyed an Alaskan cruise and other travel destinations as time and health would allow. Pat loved old Ford cars especially his "57 Fairlane" 500 and his 56 Classic Ford Pickup . He was an artist with wood burning, making many pictures for friends and benefit charities. Living at Paradise Point offered him the chance to plow out neighbors' snow in the winter with his Toolcat. Pat made special trips up to Maxbass to check in on the farm, family and friends. He was often accompanied by his beloved dog, Freckles. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
