Herbert Jordan Obituary

A good man has passed. Herb Jordan, age 70, of Satellite Beach, FL passed away on June 18, 2025.
Herb was born May 22, 1955 in Winchester, Indiana to his parents Richard "Dick" and Gwili "Jill" Jordan.
He graduated from Mississinawa Valley High school, obtaining associate degree at University of Cincinnati.
After which he joined and proudly served in the Air Force. During which he obtained bachelors degree from Rollin College, Winter Park, Fl. After 20 years of military service, retired and started a second career utilizing his degree in accounting. Retired. Happily working in his passion at Emerald Island Nursery. Then lastly working in maintenance/janitorial at his church.
Herb was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2019. Moved to nursing home 2023.
Herb loved cycling, tennis, hiking, camping and his teaching Sunday School to children at his church. He is preceded in death by his father Dick Jordan, mother Jill Jordan, sister Marla Meeks and nephew Wesley Schmidt. Survivors include his children Maria Jordan, Satellite Beach, FL, Michael Jordan, San Francisco, CA, grandchildren (Maria), Joshua, Jordan & Journi, sister Tonda Jordan, Cumming, GA, brother Chad (Stacy) Jordan, Union City, Ohio. Uncles/Aunts; Jack Snider, Judy Hindsley, Larry (Linda) Snider and many beloved nieces, nephew & cousins.
Herb will always be remembered by those who loved him for his dedication to helping people, unmatched work ethic, his love of God and his devotion to family. His ability to make people feel special will be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be held at Beach Funeral Home, Satellite Beach, Fl on July 7 at 12 noon. The burial ceremony for Herb will be private, for immediate family only. He will be laid to rest on July 8, 12:45 p.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
