Wanda Derr Obituary

Wanda (Fultz) Derr, 92 of Union City, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, hand in hand with her daughter until God took her home. She was comforted by the love of her entire family, which always meant so much to her.
Wanda had a strong faith and a very loving and compassionate heart. She was always offering to help her large family, which she was very passionate about and considered the greatest blessing of her life.
She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Cindy (Dave) Davis, and Cheryl (Mike) Warrell; 5 grandchildren, Angie (Garth) Knick, Sarah (Aaron) Black, Jason (Beth) Leedom, Christina Miranda, and David Davis; 15 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother who valued time with her family above all else. She always made time to be there, whether it be attending sporting events, birthdays, holidays, get togethers, or simply being together making memories with all those she loved. During her life, Wanda liked to travel and explore, but wherever she went, her strong faith kept her anchored. She was a devoted churchgoer who made her faith a central part of her life, often volunteering for church activities. She also spent time volunteering for hospice, girl scouts, and other various organizations. She had a loving and giving heart and was always there for her family through hard times in their lives. She enjoyed going places and eating out, along with her many sewing and craft skills such as quilt making, sewing clothes for her family, needlework, and crocheting. She passed these skills on to her large family. With every child and countless grandchildren, she lovingly made each one an afghan and/or quilt. She also enjoyed bowling, playing games, and cards with family and friends.
Before retirement, Wanda teamed up with her husband, Ralph Fultz, who ran a Nationwide Insurance business for over 30 years. After retirement they moved to a small lake in Crossville, Tennessee, where they enjoyed many years together before his passing. After Ralph's death, she remarried Rodney Derr and they moved back to Greenville, Ohio. They enjoyed several years together, taking trips to Branson to watch shows and enjoyed dining out, before his passing.
Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph Fultz, second husband Rodney Derr, her mother Mary Byrum, her sister Carolyn Rickner, and her brother Jay Byrum.
Wanda's loving, kind spirit will be profoundly and deeply missed by all who knew her. Her greatest legacy will live on in her family - a legacy of love, compassion, creativity, and faith.
A celebration of Wanda's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow at Greenville Union Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the funeral home.

When my mom moved into The Heritage, Wanda was one of the first to welcome her and make her feel welcome. I just love Wanda so much. Such a sweet sweet lady.
