Randy Vandermark Obituary

Randy Vandermark, age 69, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Born in Rochester, Indiana on April 25, 1956, the son of Lyle and Carol (Spurlock) Vandermark. A 1974 graduate of Akron High School, he worked as a Press Operator for Moore Business Forms, dedicating 44 years to the company before his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, disaster relief work, and traveling-especially treasuring visits to Vermont, Maine, and a memorable month spent in Yellowstone National Park. He always preferred road trips over flying, embracing the journey as much as the destination. In 2001, he married Rosella (Snook) Vandermark. The couple met in Pennsylvania, where he had moved in 1998, and later returned to Indiana after retirement. He was a devoted member of East Tipp Baptist Church. Randy is survived by his wife, Rosella; children, Nathan (Abigale) Vandermark and Chrystal (Raymond) Calvert; four grandchildren, Eric (Lyzz) Vandermark, Emily (Dylan) Roberts, Rhett Vandermark, and Wyatt Vandermark; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Bucher, Bennett Roberts, and Flora Roberts; and siblings, Roy Vandermark and Michele (Rich) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Lori Vandermark. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 at East Tipp Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at East Tipp Baptist Church, 5300 E 300 N, Lafayette, IN 47905, with fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randy's honor to the East Tipp Baptist Church and/or the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.
