Dawn Haines Obituary

Dawn Marie Haines passed away on Tuesday October 7th, 2025, at St. Mary's hospital in Madison, Wisconsin from a life altering stroke. She was born on February 15th, 1961, to parents Harley and Grace Mueller in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Dawn has always had a love for gardening. Her green thumb helped curate beautiful perennials gardens, create immaculate flower patio planters and grow her own vegetables. She was an okay cook, some would say her heart was bigger than her recipe book, but she tried to incorporate her homegrown veggies into every meal. If you were lucky enough to get one of her jars of pickles, you were lucky enough. Dawn was a social butterfly. She seemed to make lifelong friends wherever she went. In recent years she truly found her passion working at Columbus Health and Rehab. It wasn't just a job to her, rather a purpose. Each day brought the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on anyone she worked with. For those that knew her, the most important part of her life were her grandchildren. AJ and Nova Lou were her life. Most Sundays, you could find the three of them cooking up some type of craft, decorating cookies, or watching movies together. She loved her children immeasurably as well, and it showed. We're not sure a simple obituary could sum up or encapsulate the life that Dawn lived. We could write endless pages on her strength and perseverance. We could go on and on about the lessons learned from her, but we will keep it short and sweet. In the end it's comforting to know that there are so many people that share similar stories and the same feelings about her. We hope that these cherished memories will bring peace at the loss of such a such a small but mighty mother, sister, aunt and friend. Dawn is survived by her two children, Adam Richard Kuntz (Katie Kuntz) April Dawn Haines (Cole Nanney) Grandchildren Adam Richard Kuntz Junior and Nova Lou Kuntz. Sisters, Debbie Sharkey (Tim Sharkey) Diane Robb (Steve Robb), Donna Mueller. Proceeded by death, her beloved Dachshund Ruby. Her brothers Rick Allen Mueller, Richard Harley Mueller, Father Harley Mueller and Mother Grace Mueller.
