Virginia Miller Obituary

Virginia Lee Miller, age 82, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at West Wood Hills Nursing Center.
Virginia was born November 25, 1942, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Leonides Yale Miller and Ruth Wright Miller.
Virginia had worked for Anson Golden Needles, and went to Mexico to train the locals. She was a member of Wilkesboro United Methodist Church. She was a faithful servant of the church, doing the hand bells, visiting, singing in the choir, and planning trips for the seniors. She loved being "Granny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, bird watching, loved taking pictures, and loved the beach. She would do anything for anyone.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Miller. Those left to cherish and honor Virginia's memories include: her daughter, Kelly Sheeler (John) of Wilkesboro; her son, Robert "Butch" Long III of North Wilkesboro; her brother, Yale Miller Jr. of High Point, NC; her grandchildren, Joshua Long, Jacob Long, Justin Long, Jenifer Long, Casey Sheeler, Carey Brown; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held noon-12:45p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Wilkesboro United Methodist Church. The family will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Wilkesboro United Methodist Church. Pastor Karen Roberts will officiate.
