Jocques Calamese Obituary

Jocques M. Calamese was born on May 10, 1963, to Loretta Calamese and the late John E. Bennett. He departed this life on May 27, 2025. Jock was a legend in the sports world as an athletic trainer for Booneville High School and Northeast MS Community College. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. He had an immense love for fishing and hunting as well. Jock professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He joined Springhill M.B. Church where he remained a dedicated, faithful member. Jocques was preceded in death by his father, Mr. John E. Bennett. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Mrs. Brenda J. Calamese; two daughters, Lakeia Tyes (Jerry) and Brittany Tate; two sons, Devan Tate and Bradley Tate; five grandchildren: Kirsten Tyes, Alayna Partlow, Kylan Tate, Blake Tyes and Braylen Tate; his mother, Ms. Loretta Calamese; sister, Ms. Deidra Calamese; half siblings, Mrs. Vanessa Grove Davis (Vernon) Ms. Taura Bennett, and Mr. Tyrone Welch (Jackie); step siblings: Ms. Veronica Grice, Mrs. Tonya Gamble (Anthony) and Mr. Chris Barnett (Audrey); step mother, Ms. Alice Bennett; father-in law and mother-in-law, Luther and Zana Johnson; two special guys in his life, Charles Beene (Dawn) and Cantrell Hastings (Katy), a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
