Teresa Dudley Obituary
Teresa Nell Anderson Dudley, age 65, passed away July 31, 2025, at her home in Suwanee, Georgia. A funeral service will be held Saturday August 9 at 11am at Otts Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent, Alabama. Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate. Burial to follow in Crews Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 am until service time at 11am. Pallbearers: Andrew Dudley, Brad Davis, Robert Davis, Eric Davis, Leo Burnett, Perry Davis Honorary Pallbearers: Jessie Lee Barnes, Tim Barnes, Wayne Barnes Teresa was born April 12, 1960, in Fayette, Alabama, the daughter of Billy Rex and Barbara Sorrells Anderson. She spent her childhood living in Augusta, Georgia where she graduated from Butler High School in 1978 and Augusta College in 1982. Teresa worked with the Merle Norman company where she developed a love for make-up and skincare. She enjoyed helping with theatre make-up during her college years. She loved God's word, her family, genealogy, and was an avid reader. She was a member of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceville, GA. On January 24, 1981, Teresa married the love of her life, Ronald E Dudley (Ron). They lived in Augusta and Athens, GA, then settled in Suwanee in 1991, where they raised their son Andrew. One of Teresa's greatest joys in life was spending time with her three beloved grandchildren. She delighted in quietly gifting her granddaughter pieces of her treasured jewelry, and brought endless laughter to her grandsons as she joined them on the floor for games of marbles and board games. Her playful spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by parents Billy Rex Anderson and Barbara Sorrells Anderson. Survived by husband Ronald E Dudley, son Andrew Paul Dudley (Nichole), her cherished grandchildren Addison Peyton, Harrison James, and Pierson Rhys, sister Elizabeth (Libba) Anderson Davis (Perry), her nephews Kenneth Michael, Bradley Anderson (Paige), and Robert Perry, and grandnieces Piper and Quinn. Others who were very special in her life were her many Aunts and Uncles, first cousins and their families; Jessie Jr, Wayne, and Tim Barnes, Cathy Nicholson, Carol Dubose, Kelly Hollis, Margaret Ellen Chaffin, Leo Burnett, Lisa Davis, Lynn Gilstrap, and Margie MacDannald. Spending time in the summers with these special people was her favorite childhood memory.
