David Painter Obituary


DAVID HARLEN PAINTER July 18, 1947 - May 18, 2025 passed away peacefully at his home in Valenzuela City, Philippines due to heart related issues.
David was born in McCorkle, WW to the late William Clayton Painter and Loreda Loftis Painter Adkins, and was preceded in death by his brothers Jonathan E. Adkins, Donald (Pat) Adkins, Gary F. Adkins, sisters Carolyn McCallister and Rebecca Stowers, all of WW. He retired from American Electric Power Company after twenty-five years of service as a welder at Central Machine Shop in South Charleston, W. After electing early retirement, he moved to Hartshorn, MO where he enjoyed raising cattle and being involved in community and political activities. He then met and married Maria Lourdes Domingo and moved to the Philippines where they lived several years on a small hobby farm on the resort island of Palawan.
He was an active member of Masonic Lodge AF&AM 555 in Summersville, MO, the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth and life-long member of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay. He was also a life-long member of the National Rifle Association. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the age of thirty.
David is survived by his loving wife Maria and their nephew Antony Arsuwa, both of Valenzuela City, Philippines, his son David Christian Painter (Tracie) and granddaughter Addyson Faith Painter of Gastonia, NC, and brother J. Michael Adkins of Charleston, WV and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
David will be buried in Valenzuela Memorial Park, Metro Manila, Philippines.
