Charley Maney Obituary

Marion, VA Charley May Eller Maney passed away on July 27, 2025, at her home in Marion, VA. Mrs. Maney was born on September 16, 1942, to the late Charles and Elsie Eller. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Burton Jr.; daughter, Mary Fields; and grandson, Timothy Fields. Charley was a woman of strong faith and a devoted prayer warrior. She loved to sing and play the piano every chance she had. Her love for trains began early in life, having grown up right next to the train station where her father served as the station master. Charley loved to travel with her husband, John. They shared many adventures and found joy in the simple things-especially yard sales and a good bargain. She was very patriotic and looked forward to the Fourth of July every year. It was her favorite holiday, and she celebrated it with pride and excitement. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her generous heart, and her unforgettable love of pickled garlic. Charley brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew her. Charley is survived by her loving husband, John Maney; daughter, Amelia Harris and husband Greg Harris; grandson, Jeremiah Harris and wife Heaven Harris; grandson, Angus Harris, and Shae Hawks; granddaughter, Aspen Burton; grandson, Austin Wetzel and wife Allison Wetzel; great-granddaughter, Journee Harris and Atarah Cook; great-grandsons, Elias Harris, Karsen Vannoy, Elijah Vannoy, Zylan Cook, Calix Cook, and Carter Delp. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00–6:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion, VA is serving the family.
