Zada Brown Obituary

Zada Brown, 85, of Payson, passed away at 6:49 pm Monday, October 20, 2025, at her home in Payson, IL. Zada was born October 10, 1940, in Quincy, IL to Thomas and Nina (Davis) Sally. She was married to Chester R. Brown Jr. in July of 1968. He survives. Other survivors include her three children, Kim Long (Tom), Tim R. Brown (Kat), and Scott Brown (Tracy); five grandchildren, Skylar Richmiller (Shane), Tristan Brown (Caroline), Levi Long, Cody Brown (Haley), and Cole Brown; four great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Maddie, Bodhi, and Eli; and two sisters, Wilma Huffman and Sheila Hankins. Zada was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Maxine Sally, Monita Nye, and Loretta Sally; four brothers, Merle Sally, Monte Sally, Rodney Sally, and Thomas Sally; two half-brothers, Kenneth Wear and James Sally; and one daughter in-law, Tammy Jo Brown. Zada was a homemaker. She enjoyed country music, dancing, and spending time with her grandkids. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessing Cancer Center.
