Shirley Hawkinson Obituary

Shirley A. Hawkinson, 84, passed away September 13, 2025. She was born April 2. 1941 in Aurora, daughter of the late Dewey and Jessie (Glass) Boyle.

Some of her hobbies included crafting, spending time with her dog, Emma, and playing Words With Friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Jessie (Glass) Boyle; her husband, Richard Hawkinson; her sister, Caryl (Larry) Pritchert; her brother, George Boyle; and her children, Brenda Behnke and Douglas Porch.

She is survived by her children, Stacie (James) Green, Lisa (Dan) Wilson and Rick (Sue Bezler) Hawkinson; step-children, Mike (Carol) Hawkinson and Linda Hawkinson; 12 grandchildren, 2 nephews and 5 nieces. She was also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 4 PM – 8 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 23 2025 at the chapel. Burial will be private.
